Several Volunteer organizations receive more help than they can even handle over the holiday season, but then can’t seem to find the basic help that they need in the winter months following. If you are interested, there are several opportunities to help out Raleigh Rescue Mission in the coming weeks:

We have several volunteer needs this month:

We urgently need volunteers to assist the computer skills class instructor in answering students’ questions about computer basics, the internet and various software programs. Volunteers are needed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 8:30am-11:30am. While computer expertise is not necessary, volunteers should have some familiarity with Microsoft programs and internet technology.
- Individual and group volunteers are needed to be “Movers and Shakers” and help move furniture and household donations to clients’ new homes. The RRM box van will be available for use. Move-outs are typically scheduled on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month.
- We need volunteer dentists and dental hygienists for our quarterly dental bus clinics. If you are not a dental professional but would be willing to ask your dentist or hygienist if he or she could help, please let us know and we will get you more details.
