Always with my wife and daughters.

Describe your journey into ministry. One day I was far away from God. I remember how it felt. I’m in ministry because I want to help people find what I found in 1988. While in graduate school at Marshall University I began working in College Ministry. I helped lead a few people to Christ, I was hooked. That was 1991. After finishing graduate school in 1992 I spent next thirteen years  serving in College Ministries at Marshall University (Go Herd!), Louisiana State and at North Carolina State. One day I knew God wanted me to plant a church, my wife and I prayed that He would use us with no strings attached. Life has never been the same since.

Describe an experience that has impacted your life in ministry:
All of ministry has been an experience for me. I can’t believe God allows me to do this. Every time someone says,  “Thanks for helping me find Christ,” it impacts my life and reminds me that God really can use anybody!

Who has impacted you the most?
Her name is Cinda. I met her in college in 1988. She's now my wife and the easiest person in the world to get along with. I would not be in ministry without her.

Tell us about your family. Cinda and I have been married since June of 1992. Our first daughter, Molly, was born in 1995. Abby came along in 1998. Then in 2005, we started hosting Alina, a wonderful child from Belarus. She stays with us for six weeks every summer as part of Children of Chernobyl. She's part of our family. I'm also learning to like our dog, Zoey.   img_0067
