My name is Matt Didway and I grew up and spent most of my life in Florida. Raised by a pastor, I was always surrounded by church but didn’t make my own connection with God until I was 16. I felt God telling me to go into ministry but never thought it would be youth ministry. God had other plans. I started running my first youth group at age 19 and I should have known that God’s plans would be the best. I found out right away how much I loved working with teens and I’ve now spent the last 12 years leading youth ministries around Central Florida. My wife, Emily, has joined me in ministry for the past 8 years and our daughters Riley & Kinsley love being a part of things as well. In 2018, we decided to make the move up to Raleigh to join Lifepointe Church. I love sports of all kinds, especially ultimate frisbee and basketball. As a family, we enjoy hiking, camping and spending as much time as we can outdoors. We are excited to be part of Lifepointe and are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for us as we follow him on this next step in our journey.
