Spiritual Growth Path

At Lifepointe, our mission is to help people connect with God. We are intentional about providing opportunities to help people find and take their next step, no matter where they are on their spiritual journey. While we believe in being patient with one another as we journey together, we feel a real sense of urgency about this, so we are choosy about the groups, classes and events that we offer. We simply don’t have resources, time or energy to spend on things that will not contribute to spiritual growth.

Like many aspects of the ways we “do church,” our spiritual growth path is simple.

Discover. Connect. Grow. Lead.

Certainly, spiritual growth is rarely linear, and all Christ followers grow at different paces at different times, but we aim to make it easy for you to decide where you are and what your next step might be.

Here is a brief description about different phases of growth and some opportunities you’ll find at Lifepointe:

Discover.

A person in the Discover phase may be very new to anything related to church, faith or even the idea that there is a God who is paying attention. This is sort of like being a newborn — everything is new and it is a time to enjoy discoveries, learn new truths and develop new habits.

Opportunities:

  • Worship Services
  • Starting Point Group
  • Life Group
  • Special Events
  • Baptism

Connect.

People in this phase of the journey are relatively new Believers learning what it means to follow God and put others first. A lot of connecting happens here. Connection with God, relationships with other Christ followers, and connecting with the idea that God has a purpose for you. It’s exciting!

Opportunities:

  • Baptism
  • MyMission Class
  • Life Group
  • Study Groups

Grow.

In this phase, growing disciples are learning to be on mission. This is a time of finding a deeper relationship with God, and understanding what it means to partner with Christ’s mission.

Opportunities:

  • Life Groups
  • Study Groups
  • Accountability Groups
  • Serving Teams
  • Becoming a Mission Partner
  • Becoming an Assistant Leader

Lead.

People in this stage are disciple makers focused on multiplication — “spiritual parents” if you will. Leaders understand the spiritual growth process and look for opportunities to help other people take next steps.

Opportunities:

  • Leadership Collective
  • Service Team Leadership
  • Leading a Life Group or Study Group
