I was born and raised in south Virginia, but I’ve always said I was a North Carolinian at heart. We had family in Raleigh and I was always looking for a reason to come down to the Oak City. I attended Word of Life Bible Institute (Florida) and Liberty University. During my time at Liberty, I was a guitarist on one of their touring worship teams through which I saw a lot of the country. I met my wife-to-be close to the time that we graduated in 2011.
Sarah and I have been married since October 2012. We have 2 kids — Charis (2016) and Logan (2018). I’ve been serving in various forms of ministry for most of my life, but officially since 2012. Music is obviously a passion of mine. I love guitar, all the gear that comes with it, and discovering new music. I’m a big-time Pittsburgh Steelers fan and believe there is only one Carolina blue. Come sports talk me anytime! Some say I’m slightly into coffee. As a family, we love to hike, travel, and be outdoors with our black lab, Oliver.
I felt called to join the Lifepointe team in the summer of 2019 and God continues to affirm our steps. It’s a joy to worship with so many folks in so many different stages. A big passion for me is to see folks engaging in worship not only in song, but in lifestyle.
